Car Accident this morning

This guy hit me while he was trying to get into my lane.  I got all of his insurance information and already filed a claim.  He didn't even ask me for my insurance.  Just my name and number.  But I felt like he didn't think he was at fault.  I should have called the police, huh?  DH is pissed that I didn't.  I just didn't feel like calling and holding up rush hour traffic for such a minor accident.  Would you have called?

And now DH wants me to get a new car because he feels like this one is bad luck.  I've been rear ended twice before and now this!  But this car is almost paid off and once it is then we get to start TTC #2.  No way am I getting a new car!

Def should've called police.  They help with the "fault" thing because the person at fault gets the ticket.

Yikes!  Glad you're okay.  What a way to start a Monday, huh? 

I'm paranoid, so I would have called the police....his insurance may refuse to pay the claim if he denies fault and there is no police report, but sending good vibes your way that it will all go smoothly!

yeah always call the police no matter how damage just to establish fault and get a report.

Now as for a car being bad luck...my 1986 chevy cavelier was bad luck.... got hit 7 times all of them not my fault....the last one was a school bus that back into me...I sold the car after that ...enough was enough lol

I am such an idiot!  I called DH right after it happened and he kept telling me to call the police! 

Oh well...at least neither myself nor the driver were hurt.  Although now that all the adrenaline is gone I feel like I'm completely drained.  And it doesn't help that DS got up at 2am.  COFFEE!

I'm so sorry.  I hate bad drivers.  You probably would have been better off calling the police just so you could establish who was at fault.  I think I would have done what you did.  I wouldn't want to be one of those people holding up traffic; I know what I'm thinking when I drive by them.
