Gosh, showers are fun!

People bring you baby stuff, and say nice things to you, and there's cake!  Tons of cake!

I don't know why I put up such a fight.  It was a lovely lovely day.  :)

    Yeah, we did get some great things.  Mostly clothes and toys, some lovely blankets, and a sprinkling of very needed practical things, including our car seat.  So that was great to get off the list!

    It was a co-ed shower, and we put lots of toys on the registry, specifically thinking our single male friends would have more fun getting those than some of the little baby stuff.  Boy were we right.  This kid is going to have lots of fun toys :)  

    And everyone seemed to have a great time, which was nice to see.

    I'm so glad it was a good day... did you get lots of loot?

    And more importantly, what kind of cake was it?

    At my shower, they got me the prettiest cake, but it tasted like crap. I felt terrible b/c since everyone left before the cake came out, there was a ton left, and they made me take it home... I didn't have the heart to tell the hostesses that I didn't care for the cake, and DH hated it too, so we ended up throwing most of it out.

    It was a tragedy.

    I'm glad you had a good time! Yoshimi will be set in the toy department! Now you can put all your goodies in the nursery!
