Pregnant after a Loss

Sueball, you made it!!

You passed the 15th!!  Hooray for obeying your Momma, little Leo:)  You just earned yourself an extra midnight snack!

How are you doing, sweetie?  Feeling any more contractions?  Still having stomachaches?

Keep taking it easy!  At least once a day now I think "I better check to make sure I don't have any texts!"

Re: Sueball, you made it!!

  • I actually do the same thing, considering my little Gemini is like two seconds away from having little Beansies.... craziness...

I have been having a ton of contractions, cramping, pressure, all not good... considering I am sick as a dog. I swear if Leo doesn't listen to me and wait at least until this cold/flu is gone, he is grounded for life. I had a big talk with him last night and told him that he still needs another week to cook and I need to get better. Let's just hope he listens. My goal is to get to 37 weeks at least - which is next Saturday. So, come on, uterus. Stay strong!

How are YOU feeling? You never told me what happened with work - are you on bedrest or still working? Gimme the update, buddy!!

  • Oh no!  Is this still left over sickness or is this brand new?  What a pita:(  In that case, I definitely hope you have some time to get better so you can enjoy your little man 100% when he arrives.  No coughing or sneezing for you!!!  (I actually told DH that I'm afraid to cough bc I'm scared the baby will come out!  Kind of like the poo, haha)

I am feeling pretty good.  No "real" contractions since Wednesday.  I only feel some tightening when I lift something I shouldn't or if I am doing to much bending/squatting/moving.  But thankfully those don't amount to anything.  I'm trying to take it easy, but it's easy to forget I have to have limits.  I am still working.  My co-director is wonderful and pretty much has me do nothing at work.  It's boring as heck, but I am very lucky.  I'm just taking it day to day and will talk to my doctor more on Tuesday.  I never really talked to her about it because the office was closed and I had to go through the hospital operator, which is really only for emergencies and I just let it go knowing that I'm free to quit working the second I'm ready.  So whether I have a written note from my doctor or not, I can be done whenever.  I may slow down to 4 hour days at some point.  I'm so hesitant to go on leave this early.  I want to save my time!!

  • That is awesome that you get to work and take it easy - best of both worlds. Obviously it will be better to save your leave time, so as long as you can take it easy while at work, that just rocks. I have a strong feeling that you will be having that baby a lot sooner than expected though, so I bet you'll be taking leave pretty soon to spend time with little Beansies! I am betting that she'll come between 36-37 weeks, fully cooked and perfect. :)

I know what you mean about not wanting to cough. I am treating myself like a china doll- every little cramp and tightening and whatever makes me stop short... To answer your question, this cold started on Thursday and has just gotten progressively worse - I think it may be turning into the flu or some kind of infection....I hate that I am sick, b/c its making what should be an exciting, fun time a horrible, nerve-wracking time. Poor DH - he's being so great, and I am such a whiny brat right now. The air quality here is awful from all the fires so neither of us can breathe too well, and I know he's not feeling great either, so that makes it even worse.

Anyway... hope you are having a great Sunday and taking it easy! Big hugs (although luckily they are cyberhugs b/c I wouldn't wanna get you sick!!)

  • **butting in**

Yay Sue and Leo!  Stay put you two so that there is more time to bake and get well!
