Any of you early August mamas... Has your baby dropped yet?
Are you dialated? If so how much?
I thinks it's strange that my LO hasn't dropped and I have no dilation and my cervix is still thick?? Isn't it getting real close? Ha! With my luck I'm destined to have a repeat of last time with a long labor and excruciatingly slow dialation... Any thoughts? Any ladies in a similar boat?

Due August 5th but being induced August 2nd. At my 37 week I was only 1 cm and thick with a very high cervix, at my 38 week appointment today I was still 1 cm but 60 percent effaced and my cervix was lower. I was weirded out he wasn't dropped yet either because I'm a FTM but he ended up dropping two days ago.

I've read that it's not unusual for 2nd babies not to drop until labor has started. Don't worry yet!

I had an appointment on Friday. She said I was 2 cm dilated, 70% effaced, but baby was still a little high. I'm hoping this Friday there is some more progress. I also read somewhere that sometimes STM don't drop until right before labor. Not sure how true that is though.

Due August 1st. I haven't had a cervical check yet. I may have one tomorrow, but I might decline it. Not sure yet.

But, I think the baby has officially dropped. I was denying it yesterday, but after a few comments from others and feeling all of this lovely pressure in my bottom, it's starting to sink in! I've also been losing my MP - yuck.

Don't worry about not dropping yet. I read that for second time moms it is very common for the baby not to drop until labor. I hope you have a quicker dialation this time.

due the 8th. not dialated. cervix is still very much closed.

I'll be 39 weeks on Thursday and due Aug 1st. Baby has not dropped at all yet and last week at my appointment I was .5 cm dialated and 70 percent effaced. FTM here so I don't know if that's considered alot of progress or not. Will know tomorrow if I've made more progress and I sure hope so because I've had contractions off and on all day, everyday, for a week now!!

I'm at the OB's right now. Baby is really low and they're checking me for preeclampsia right now because I've been feeling these weird sensations in my lower belly kinda like a mix between period cramps and diarrhea cramps. Anyways, hard to tell if I'm dialating because of my previous LEEP proceedure scar tissue is tough and stubborn. Going to get some tests done now. Can't wait to see the little one, but I had so much work and meetings planned today, I'm feeling kinda guilty. I'm due August 3rd, I was thinking I would have until then, kinda naive of me.

Due aug 5th, cervix still closed baby has dropped so much and he's breech still!

Due aug 3. As per last appointment I was dilated 1 cm.  I'm not sure about baby dropping, I've carried really low the whole time so it's possible that I just haven't noticed.  My next appointment is Thursday and I'm hoping for a little more progress but my OB seemed happy with 1 cm last week given as far as I am.

Also due Aug 8th. I have an apt with my OB in an hour, so I will update when I return. I am really hoping for some progress.

I'm nearly 39 weeks and my cervix is still closed. My Dr did say baby's head seems to be low. 

However...none of that really matters because my c-section is scheduled for Thursday!

Due 3 August  FTM.  One week ago I was 1 cm/75% effacecd and -1 station... I assumed baby dropped around week 36 when I went from a walk to a waddle overnight and the pressure/weight on my pubic area intensified.   I've had bad menstrual cramps constantly since 1230 this morning and previously would have them from time to time--otherwise no major changes.

I am due August 7th and baby is still very high. Not sure about my cervix but I doubt it is doing much.

Thanks for all the responses! Glad to know I'm not the only one in this boat...I'm curious now to see how this labor goes...in the meantime I've been swimming and walking hoping for some progress!

Due the 9th. OB hasn't checked me yet. She will check me at tomorrow's appt. I've been having lotsa contractions but never intensifies, so I'm hoping I'll be a dilated somewhat.  I know it means nothing but it will feel like progress.

I'm due Aug. 5. As of last week I was 1 cm, and baby had dropped. I wasn't effaced though but for the past few days I've been losing my plug so hopefully there has been progress!

Due August 5th, and baby dropped over the last week. The doctor was surprised by how low he is. I am not effaced at all but I am 1 cm dilated. She gave me a 50/50 chance of labour in the next week. I am not sure why since I'm not effaced at all but maybe she thinks his head being so far down might start things sooner?

I have dropped I believe. I am thinning and 3 cm dilated as of my last hospital visit.

ETA: I am also due Aug 6

Due Aug 9 and as of last Friday I was 1-2cm, 70%, -2 station, loose & soft...

Not sure how dropping correlated to -2 station, people said I was carrying him high and now they say low. I definitely have had more hip/bladder problems than any breathing problems so I don't know when/if he officially "dropped." It definitely feels like he is digging in there trying to get lower though!

I'm 36 weeks. Due the 17th. Baby is measuring really large. As of Friday I was 2 cm and a soften cervix. She said it was still thick though. Lost my plug on Sat I'm assuming caused by the exam and had some pretty strong bh contractions but nothing regular. Sunday baby went back to being calm. I'm hoping to go early before they try to pressure me into a c section. Not right now, but first week of August would be ok, especially since early us had my EDD more like Aug 9th but they insisted on using my LMP for dating purposes.

Oh yeah, she's dropped. She's probably going to have a birth canal shaped head because she is like... stuck in my crotch. 

I was last examined on 7/19 and I was 90% effaced, 1 cm dilated. Been having contractions for a week now.

I'm due 8/5. I had a cervix check at 35 weeks dr said 1cm and about 60%. At 36w I had a colpo w/out them taking any tissue and they were asking me then if I had lost my MP yet.. something about my cervix and how tender and bloody it was..

No contractions other than BH and I haven't had a cervix check since.

I think I may get a cervix check at my appt on Thursday, just out of curiosity.

Due 08/06, nearly 3cm dilated, very soft, -1 station.  Looking at my pix from weeks 34 and 35 I do believe I've started to drop.  Baby is definitely head down and ready to go per my OB.

But I wouldn't stress much! Everyone is different and some people say they go from 0 to 10 very quickly.

Due Aug 3 and have an elective induction set for Aug 3 if she hasn't come on her own (history of precipitous labor).

I was 3cm and 70% effaced at last check - last Friday. I am hoping if I am still preg this Fri doc will strip my membranes and get things going.

Baby is head down and dropped. I am getting almost no sleep due to contrax that are 15 min apart and just bad enough to wake me through the nights. Fun, fun.

I was due the 4th.  At my appointment last Tuesday I was 1 cm, thick cervix, head not yet engaged.

Baby arrived Saturday night.

My second labor was similar - no progress beforehand, then labor.  My first was induced at 41 weeks.   So you never know...

I haven't been checked yet. Due August 3 and I made it through a heat wave, pressure drop and full moon without any noticeable cramps or discomfort.

Also due Aug 8th. I have an apt with my OB in an hour, so I will update when I return. I am really hoping for some progress. 

Baby`s head has come down since last week. He said I am thinning but still not dilated. Baby measures 40 wks and he said it`s basically a waiting game. Can go anytime.

Due August 4th, 2cm dilated and 80% effaced at my appointment last Wednesday. Baby has definitely dropped and I've had smaller contractions here and there.

 Really wish the Little Princess would decide to show up!

i'm at 1cm.  I don't know any other details (softening, etc).  I haven't had any BH's or any real contractions.  No indication that anything is going to happen soon (I know this doesn't mean much).

I was induced with DD at 41w4d.  This pregnancy has been almost identical up until this point.  I'm preparing myself for a repeat!  I would really love to avoid an induction though and have this little man come on his own!  I figure if I prepare for the worst anything before 41w4d will be a nice suprise

I'm at 37.5 weeks, baby dropped and is head down. Lots of soreness, feels like my vag is breaking....however cervix is closed shut as of yesterday.  Due date is Aug 9th, being induced on Aug 2nd.

Got checked today - 1cm dilated and 50% effaced.  This kid dropped a long time ago and he's just getting lower and lower.  I am due August 3rd.

I'm due August 3rd.. And my mom has been telling me the past few days she thought i had dropped, but I thought she was crazy. However I had an u/s today and the doc said he couldn't get a completely accurate measurement of his head because he was so low! Crazy!! I'm so excited/terrified!
