Lookig for: Austin Area Obgyn

Hi ladies! 
Since doing IVF, I don't have a regular OBGYN yet. I had one prior to IVF, but I don't feel comfortable with her treating me while I'm pregnant so I would like to switch. 

Any ladies in the Austin area?  Here are some of my preferences:

Location: North Austin Area

Insurance: BCBS Tx

Prefer Female

Hospital: St. Davids

Other: I'm Type 1 diabetic; a Dr. that has knowledge in treating type 1 diabetics

I see Dr. Seeker at AAOBGYN at St. David's North.  He is a guy, but he has two amazing PAs that are women.  He is a super nice man and will spend as much time with you as needed...you'll never feel rushed when he's with you, but that also will of course translate to longer waits since he does that for all of his patients.  I'm not sure about insurance or diabetes experience.  HTH!

I was just looking at a Dr. Allison Anderson at that same group. I think I will call tomorrow and see if I can do a phone consultation. My last OB was horrible, and I think she forgot that she works for me! I would like to do a little interview before I decide on anyone. 
If I've learned anything through diabetes and IF, it's you have to be your own advocate!  

I saw your Beta number!! Congrats!!!

Yeah, I should have mentioned that there are several other female doctors in that practice and I've never heard a bad word about any of them!  I would definitely go in for a consultation before you make your decision.  GL!

Did you get your result yet???  I just heard I have to do a fourth beta on Monday (boo) before my u/s on Friday next week.  I was really hoping the u/s would be early next week!   

EDIT: I just saw on the check-in that it was 2000+.  That's awesome!!  Congrats!

Yes! It was only 111 last Monday, and today it was almost 3,000!! I will go in Sunday for a 4th Beta, and Monday for an U/S! I wonder why they couldn't get you in sooner?  Who is your Dr. again? Mine is Burger,  but she is out of town, so I will be seeing Dr. Vaughn on Monday.
