Invite question

I bought 12 pic invites from shutterfly from close family and friends who keep them. For the rest of the people I am planning on doing an evite via Facebook, more than likely. We have over 50 people to invite which are close family with a few close friends I come from a very large close family, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the pic invites when I know over half the people will toss them. I have received several evites for first birthdays this summer and one paper invite.

So my questions:
Are evites tacky? Should I head to the dollar store and send out paper invites for the others?

Not tacky, but I would worry about people questioning why some received a paper and some just got the FB invite.

This. My family is always fawning over the paper invite stuff, so it would come up in our circle.

Only a handful of people in my family are like that and those are the ones who are getting the paper invites, so I'm not worried about anyone getting upset that they didn't get a paper invite. Thanks for the input!!

  • I'm not a fan of e-vites. Convenient yes, but it just seems cheap to me.  Can you rbring the invites you already bought to a copy center and just copy them? (I have no idea if you are allowed to do this or not, especially if they are from Etsy, just thinking out loud)

edit: you said they are from shutterfly in your OP. fail on my part, sorry.

  • I'd do an actual evite, as opposed to just a blanket facebook invite. Seems much more formal in my opinion, if you're going to do an envite.
