What post partum freezer stash is complete without some maxi padsicles?
Who knows if I will need these but I plan on whipping up a dozen of these for when I get home from the birth center:

Now I can eat my frozen foods in comfort. And yell out for my husband to bring me a padsickle from the bathroom.
Any other recipes to share? I've heard cabbage leafs frozen can be great for engorgement too!
Re: Another freezer stash post: padsicles recipes
I googled other tutorials for making them and most of them suggest wrapping them in aluminum foil rather than putting them back in the wrapper like the link you posted. Just an idea as that sounds a little easier!
For BTDT moms, do they have to be the overnight sized pads or will regular maximum protection ones work as well?
I'm thinking the bigger pads might be better then the small ones. Maybe wear some depends with it? Lol sounds super attractive. Or just not wear bottoms and cram an old towel between your legs. I would think our body heat would melt everything after twenty mins.
Some gals say to use newborn diapers instead, at least those kind of have a water proof back.
I made about a dozen already and froze them flat in foil. IMO, they would be pretty stiff if you folded them back up into the original packaging. I just used regular protection because I figured they would only be cold and soothing for a short time so I wasn't as concerned about absorbency.

You don't want to SOAK them entirely, just get them a bit wet and freeze. They remain absorbent enough and are heavenly on battered girly parts.
You want "fluffy" pads - I think I used cheap Stay Free ones last time. Long or overnight. I use Always Infinity for my actual pad needs, but the cheapies work better for this.
