Prepping naturals- do you HAVE to do it separately?

I just got my first Sbish OBF and have another bamboo insert that I need to prep... do I really have to prep them separately from the rest of my dipes? I prepped my bamboo prefolds and my hemp doublers that I had with my regular diaper laundry before I knew it was supposed to be separate...

It's best to do the first wash with non-diaper laundry (and hot water) just to get most of the natural oils out. I usually just do a load of "house" laundry - towels, sheets, whatever - with the diaper soap. Then I wash them a few more times with anything, diapers or not.

I second what pp said. 

If you want your natural fibers to perform their best, you should do it separately
