My 12 week old pup was diagnosed with parvo yesterday. We're doing an at home treatment plan that includes iv fluids 3x a day, a concotion of meds, and special food which i syringe feed her.

Does anyone have any positive stories? How long did you puppy vomit? Today will be her 3rd day since starting vomiting and having diarrhea.

I got an Australian Shepherd puppy in 1998 who contracted Parvo at 8 weeks old. She needed to be hospitalized and given IV fluids for nearly a week.

my parents just had to have her put down a few months ago. She was 15. She was also my husband's vision of the ideal dog, and the reason he agreed to the Aussie we have now.

These stories make me hopeful! Lila has been vomiting and have diarrhea. The vet gave me a special food along with iv fluids and other meds.

Whoa, I had a lot of typos in my op, sorry! I plan on picking her poop up from the backyard during the kids' nap and bleaching the hell out of it! 

I bleached my linoleum floors, bleached her toys, used vinegar on my hardwood floors, and dh ordered a steam cleaner for our carpet. I still don't feel like it's clean enough though

Mine got it at 9 months. He was sick for about 36 hours before he went to the vet. He was there on I.V. Fluids and antibiotics for 4 days. They sent him home when he stopped vomiting. When he came home he was weak for about 5 days and could eat normally after about 3. He's now 4 years old and 135 pounds. Parvo is so scary, hydration and infection prevention are important. I hope everything goes well for you and your puppy!

i got color safe bleach and sprayed the couches and washed our sheets and duvet in it as well. gah this is a lot of cleaning up!
