Water broke update

Still no baby ::sad face:: but he is doing great and I'm starting to have painless contractions. I don't want to sound naive but I am a FTM didn't know water can break and no contractions or that it can break and no diliate.

As long as my LO and I are ok I am happy. I was ready to meet him but I guess I should comfort myself with hearing the heart beat.

Thank you all for the nice comments and all the T and P. they are truly working to keep me positive!

For what it is worth, my first delivery was the same way. Water broke, no contractions, I had to get induced. In the end, baby and I were safe, healthy and happy.

I had bh then my water broke this time around. They had to give me pitocin to get better contractions 1 to 2 cm took forever but 2 to 10 was 2 hours . Gl t and p on a healthy delivery

I don't know how long your water has been broken but with my first mine broke at midnight and we went right in and by morning I still wasn't contracting. They started pitocin and baby was born by early afternoon. I was 10 days past EDD.

That was my mom with me. It took almost a day for contractions to start but I got here just fine. Good luck t and p for you and little one

They will keep an eye out for any infection, but as long as mom and baby are fine they usually don't do anything.

My water broke with my October 11 baby at 4pm and I delivered him via emergency section (I dilated all the way and pushed for 2 hours but all hell broke loose) 42 hours after my water broke!  I hope this baby is different.  It was so frustrating not to have contraction for over 24 hours.  Good luck mama!  They'll come soon enough!
