For the past week and a half I have been having stabbing chest pains right over my heart. Sometimes it is so bad I can't lay down and I have to breath very shallow. I saw my midwife today and told her about it. She says I need to cut caffeine completely out and see if that makes it better. Guys, I have no idea what the hell I am going to do without a cup of coffee in the morning! I have been lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep per night. Coffee was the only thing that would give me bit of energy to get even a little something done. I'm screwed. Fingers crossed that the cut out will at least make the chest pains stop.
Re: Chest pains
It probably is not anything super serious. She said she thinks that I have some inflammation in my chest and caffeine makes it worse.
If it was an actual heart problem the pain would be more dull an in the middle of the chest.

Could it possibly be anxiety related?
I get a pain in my chest from time to time that is caused by anxiety. The weird thing about it is that it is a delayed reaction to stress; in other words, it's not an immediate reaction to my anxiety. Anyways, I know that caffeine can exacerbate the problem.
I hope it goes away soon!
I've been having some crazy chest pain lately too. It hurts so bad I don't want to breathe in. I finally figured out for me I was having panic attacks from stress.
I hope you stop having it soon. It's not fun! Totally sucks about the caffeine! My doc also just told me to cut it out to prevent more pre-term contractions. It's so hard to give up!
