Biting our leather dining room chairs

Help!

 Our 13 month old bit thru one of our nice leather dining room chairs.  I know he is teething, and he has plenty of teething toys and other distractions. He is just drawn to our chairs and wants to bite them. I am trying to teach him not to, but obviously he is still just a baby. I am always right there with him but he is so quick, as soon as he gets his mouth on one, he can bite it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a type of cover or something I can use to protect our chairs?  Thanks for any help!
