Weird spot on gums

Normally just a lurker. My LO is 9 months old. He has 2 bottom teeth. Top middle right has broke through the gums and I noticed today that top middle left has he greyishblue spot. Looks almost bruised. Very possible that he could have bumped it because he is pulling up everywhere. Just wanted to see if anyone on here has seen anything like it. TIA!

It sounds like a gum hemotoma. Bizarrely I just read about this today for the first time on the What to Expect website: https://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/teething/teething-symptoms.aspx
