help plan my outfit- family photos

Alright ladies, I know some of you have amazing taste and find some of the cutest outfits.  We are doing family pictures next month and a smash cake session. So here's the challenge for you. DH is going to wear dark wash jeans with a grey polo, DD is going to wear the dress pictured below (Carter's), and I have no idea what to wear. I would prefer something that didn't show too much of my arms because I'm not a fan of them and most of my baby weight went there during pregnancy and hasn't gone away. I'm a plus size XL, XXL size 18 type of girl with a tight budget so keep that in mind. ($30-40 for the total look is my goal) The photos will be outdoor during the morning but mid August.  I've also included a picture of the onesie purchased for her cake smash, I haven't decided if we will change into something else to somewhat match her second look because I don't know if we will be in any of the cake photos.

What about jeans with a white or yellow t-shirt and a gray cardigan? Something like this? You could wear jeans you already have, and perhaps a top you have and get a cardi to match? Or use a cardi you have, and buy a top?

Edited: I just ordered this. I'll either pair it with dark wash skinny jeans or medium wash bootcut (but darker than what's pictured). Either a white or grey tank and nude flats. Does it sound ok?
