Winner Takes ALL

My sister came up with this idea to play a game called "Winner Takes ALL" she got the idea from a previous baby shower.
 
Rules: Each guest that puts money in bucket or vase that goes around gets a raffle ticket then at the end of the game whoever's raffle ticket # gets called wins the whole pot of money so they think. The money collected actually goes to the mommy-2-be and the winner gets a bottle of  ALL liquid detergent.
 
I  thought it was a cute game but rude to ask for money on top of the gift they have already given you. I don't think that will sit well for some people. What are your thoughts? Has anyone ever been to a shower where they have play ed this game?
