Mustela double action stretch mark cream

So I'm using this mustela cream from stretch marks and I don't know if anyone used it or it helped but I started having bluish strech marks on my sides even though I used coco butter lotion 2 times a day they still appeared. So I thought the mustela from babies r us would lighten them..I as well use it 2 a day. And it's not really doing a good job of lightning them :/

  • You can put all the stretch mark lotions and creams and whatnot you want on your body, but sorry about your luck... you can't prevent them.

They don't go away over time by using cream? :
  • They with time after baby is born... creams/lotions may help them fade but no.. they will never go away. :-/

Yup. With time, they may fade but they'll never really ever go away. And you can't really do anything to prevent them.

Am i weird that i got exciedabout my first two stretch marks? There tiny and on thqt little flap of skin under where i used to have my belly button ring.

I dunno, i know my tattoos will look bad i am more then okay with getting a few more syretch marks if i get them because in a couple weeks ill get to hold my son for the first time and all the changes my body has gone through will be worth it.

  • You're a mama tiger who earned her stripes. : They mean you carried a child, and they are not a sign of weakness or ugliness. Embrace the way our bodies adapt to pregnancy!

  • Sadly stretch marks are greatly genetic so no lotion/creams will really prevent (although it certainly helps with the stretch itch!) and nothing will make them go away.  They'll eventually fade but never gone.  Isn't it wonderful?!

  • yeah, at this point, I just use them to alleviate the itchiness.

  • From what I've heard lotions don't get deep enough into the skin to make a difference with stretch marks.

Like PPers said, the lotion does help with the itching/stretching but won't stop you from getting stretch marks in general.

  • I just have a couple and I've used the mederma scar gel on them. It seems to help them fade, but obviously doesn't prevent them.
