Mobile you know you're pregnant when clothing edition
Following on from my tiramisu for breakfast edition yesterday, you know you're pregnant when you have worn the same pants for 3 days straight. That might not seem sooo bad, except you also have slept in them!
I usually where clean clothes every day, and then clean pjs every night. But these are the only pants I have bought so far, and they fit, and they are comfy!!
It is disgusting though, and I plan on washing and drying them tonight, so I can wear them tomorrow haha!
Have any of you picked up so weird or gross habits, clothing related or otherwise?
Ps I can also see me going to the route with bras. I usually wear a clean bra every day. How long is too long to wear one? 2 days? 7 days?
Re: You know you're pregnant when clothing edition
I'm struggling between which looks better : wearing a tight fitting shirt so that maybe it's a little obvious that I'm pregnant or wearing something loose fitting so that no one even looks or comments.
Pretty much nothing I own looks cute or is comfortable though.
You can actually wear bras several times before washing - you shouldn't wear the same one every day, but every other - 2-3 days of wear is perfectly fine! ;o)
I currently own exactly two bras that fit. My pre-pregnancy ones are not even close, like they only contain about half of me. I have to wear them night and day, because between the size and the soreness, I'm really uncomfortable without support.
I really try to remember to handwash one every night, so I can change every 24 hours or so, but, ah, let's just say that doesn't always happen.
My struggle exactly!! I was going for the tight clothes scenario and then my momma bought me a few gifts of maternity shirts from TJ Maxx and OMG .... so much more comfy in flow-y shirts!! I definitely just look fat and not pregnant but I couldn't care less. None of them are my typical "style" either ... but I don't even care anymore lol. I work at a desk in a large room with at least 100 other people ... and I unbutton my pants at my desk lol I need to go by maternity pants before someone notices!!
I feel like my overall appearance has just gone way down hill. I try to do my makeup and hair because I know I feel better on those days ... but when I'm so exhausted or sick in the morning it doesn't happen all the time ... and it's been so hot here my walk to work in the downtown heat just kills my hair anyway so it's a messy bun and sweated off makeup anyways ... might as well sleep lol.
Biggest thing thats changed is the frequency I shave my legs anymore. I try to cause I'm sure SO appreciates it buuuut .... yeah, doesn't happen. I used to shave them every single shower now its about once or twice a week YIKES!
I have 3 pairs of old navy yoga pants and 2 pair of yoga capris, all with different top band colors so I can "prove" that I'm not wearing the same ones every day, lol. None of my jeans fit me anymore, and I'm still trying to find a pair of maternity pants without the full belly because I just feel silly wearing them over my blump. I did also get a pair of linen pants with a yoga band top of old navy that are super comfy and look a little nicer then straight yoga pants
I did buy a few new "better then my 10yr old college collection" t-shirts from Target because they were on sale for $6. Not sure how long I'll be able to wear them, but whatever. I needed something that would fit!
And for bras, I'm up a size and a half, so I bought 4 bigger ones and 2 new sports bras. I wear them at least twice before they get washed, unless I sweat in them (which has been happening with this nasty, nasty heat). If I don't wear a sports bra to bed I'm just in pure pain in the morning. DH hates it, but whatever.
This, totally this! And hooray for our solar screens installed today, I no longer have to avoid the windows by the front door
As for work, yesterday was the first time in MONTHS that I actually put on make up... I still haven't started doing my hair again. And lets not discuss the every other day showering routine (and maybe skipping the weekend). I DO brush my teeth daily, so at least I have that going on. I feel like the poster child for "mom who lets herself go".
:::runs off to schedule a hair cut, buy some new make-up, and get some cute clothes:::
