Did P&N fit from birth?

I just got my Kawaii pure and naturals in the mail and they seem bigger than my other CDs. I know that's probably because they fit longer than other NB dipes, but do they really fir right away?

 Also do they work before the cord stump falls off?

I did not have my P&Ns until week 2 or 3, but yes, they would have fit her. She was an average size baby - 7 lb 5 oz.

As far as the cord stump, you'll get different opinions on this. I would say yes since to me it's not any different than having clothing touching the stump. CDs get changed so frequently (moreso than sposies) that it did not bother me if DD's stump was covered so long as it did not look irritated.

They fit DD when she was about 6 lbs. She was 5 lbs at birth, but we didn't get them until a little while later.  They still fit her now at 17.5 lbs, and we still only use one insert.

edit: her stump was gone when we got them... The stump fell off at a week pp

They fit my LO from birth. He came home at 7 lbs 4 oz.

They fit from birth for us. DD3 was 7 lbs 11 oz when we came home from the hospital. I just used them loosely over the cord. We just moved to the second rise setting at 11 lbs and 25".

They fit, but were super bulky. We used them ON only until she started to fit into OS at around 8 to 10 weeks, and then they fit less bulky.

I'm so surprised by pps answers...our LO was 8 lbs 1 oz at birth and they definitely did not fit. We didn't start using them until he was almost 10 lbs.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like they fit most babies, I guess I'll have to wait and hope! If they don't I guess I could just wash the rest of my stash more often until they fit, but I was trying to avoid that.

Yes, everything but alvas - those also definitely did not fit at birth. Maybe we could have used the P&Ns earlier but they just seemed ridiculous because they were so huge compared to everything else, and I didn't really give it a fair try. We used lil joeys, tots bots tiny fit, fuzzibunz size 0, simplex newborn, BG NBs, KL0 with bummis covers...I think that was it.

My LO came home at 6 lbs 6 oz, and they are too big at one week.  She does have long, skinny legs.

 Oh good, I have some tini fits and simplex NB, so if the PNs don't fit right away those hopefully will. Looks like you tried a lot of NB dipes, which were your favorite?

 Seems like most feel the same, thanks! I'm glad I have them especially for the price.

My DS2 was 8lbs but has skinny legs. They fit without gaping at the thighs at about day 7 or 8. They aren't bulky now. Also, now that he is over 9lbs the little green bamboo fit. He fit in the Charlie Banana XS right away.

This is my LO when she was 3 weeks, 7lbs 6 oz. The middle one is the PnN (which looks HUGE, but does fit...but definitely comes up over the belly button), top is an xs BG, bottom is a NB alva (we never had a problem with those being too big...the snaps fit great, and we twisted the tabs of the aplix on the ones that fit bigger):
