I think it's really pretty BUT it was my college roommate's mn and she hated it with a passion. She couldn't wait to drop it when she got married. I'm not sure why, but that's kind of tainted the name for me.

This is my mom's name and I've always loved it! With DD, I really liked Adelaide/Adeline for a name since it ties back to Heidi, but it was a bit too popular for me.

Re: Heidi?
It's a guilty pleasure name for me. I'd never use it myself though, because for some reason I think that a girl named Heidi either
a.) lives in the Swiss Alps and likes to yodel; or
b.) is a stripper.

I like it.
DH brought it up when I was pregnant with DD, but we have a Spanish last name and it sounded funny.
I think it's a feminine, pretty and underused name.

I agree
I was debating wether or not to post... I LOVE Heidi but FNs with strong associations or that are very feminine are nms.
If our first is a girl her fn will be Adelaide and her nn will be Heidi.
I kind of like it. Found out a few years ago, DH had an aunt named Hedwig (HP anyone??) and they called her Heidi.
It does make me think Switzerland though.
I agree with this.
