Team Green Questions

1. What colors / theme are you thinking for your nursery? Any inspiration photo welcome!

2. Do you have a gut feeling about the sex?

Re: Team Green Questions

  • We are thinking of doing a Zoo or Jungle theme. H picked up a stuffed lion and wants that in the nursery.

As for sex...I have no idea. At first I thought boy, but I keep having dreams of a little girl, so IDK. H thinks Boy, same with the rest of my family.

  • tan and white, maybe poohbear or zoo/circus animals.

we're hoping for a boy but I feel like it's gonna be a girl!
  • We're finding out the sex but doing the same nursery either way especially because its twins and could be one of each. It's going to be space and solar system themed.

  • no theme here, but i would like grey walls, white furniture and colour accents (pink if a girl, yellow and blue if a boy).
i also like a chevron accent wall.

edit - oops not team green here.

  • No gut feeling on the gender.

As for the nursery, we're doing a woodland theme - mostly browns, tans and white with lots of animals and some Beatrix Potter stuff.

  • We were team green with ds. We did a slight Winnie the Pooh theme. The walls are yellow in the top and brown in the bottom and my sister hand painted Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger on the top half. Nothing else is themed we just have plain fitted sheets for the crib and change table.

This time I am feeling hardcore its a girl. Last time from the start I thought boy and was right. This time feels different but we shall see!

Team Green really is awesome and as much as people say its a surprise at 20 weeks or 40 weeks I think waiting till the end is the best!!

  • Im not team green, but im planning on a neutral nursery (we only have one extra bedroom, so if we're lucky enough to have two, they will have to share until we buy a new house in 5 yrs or so).  Right now, I'm leaning towards an Eric Carle inspired nursery.  Something like this:imageimage

surprise pregnancy with baby #2!  EDD: 8/30/16

  • We are likely finding out, but I'm doing a neutral nursery anyway. I personally hate that everything is so gendered for kids from birth, and I want to be able to reuse everything if/when we have baby #2.

I really like owls, but not sure if they are too overdone.  I think we will likely just find bedding that we like and decorate the nursery around that. I do really like grey and yellow.

We're thinking of doing Winnie the Pooh too! We were thinking we could keep the walls the neutral beige that they are or maybe go light yellow and then put a runner around the centre of the room.
  • We were not team green per say - we found out but kept the gender secret from everyone else.  We did green walls with a monkey theme in the bedding and brown curtains.  On the walls we have monkey and jungle animal decals.  We wanted to know the gender but we did not want the room too gender specific because we knew we wanted a second and wanted to be able to reuse  as  much as possible

  • We're thinking using white, green, yellow and light blue/turquoise.

I found this bedding set that comes with two halo sleep sacks that's I really love.

And I have no clue what our LO is going to be at this point.

  • I have been convinced from the start that it's a boy, but have nothing to base it on... We haven't decided yet if we're going to be team green, or if we'll find out... Still have a few weeks to decide!

We haven't decided on any theme for the nursery yet - PgAL brain is reigning in my excitement a little bit... However, being at 12 weeks, we're getting a little more excited! I have chosen a paint colour - it's a teal/aqua green colour. If it's a boy we'll add blue and grey; if it's a girl, we'll add purple and grey... That's all I know so far!

  • We are team green. I really dont like the cutsie themes so DH and I are going with grey walls, orange and white accents. The "theme" we are going with is jungle.

  • Yay team green! We will do a Starry Nights theme; yellows, mint blue, stars, shimmery mobile.

I think it's a boy. Dreams and opposite symptoms from my previous pregnancy with DD.
  • I was team green with baby #3.

    1. We didn't buy a thing until after the baby came.  I loathe gender-neutral stuff.

    2. I thought girl.  It was a boy.

We're finding out this time just because I like it better and I didn't find team green to be worth it. I'd rather know ahead of time.

I don't really think that's gender neutral at all.  Looks very boyish to me.  I think it's a great theme, but there are probably more gender-neutral sets out there (sets that are more red or green, etc.) JMO.
