I woke up early this morning, feeling pretty normal and a little upset that I wasn't feeling symptoms. Flash forward to now, a few hours later, and I'm extremely nauseous and on the verge of plucking at times. I have always had great control over puking, and can usually think myself out of it or delay it at least. I'm wondering....will I feel better if I just let it out or should I keep fighting it?

thanks...I actually did feel a lot better but if I can keep my nutrients in I want to..even if it means I will stay sick.
I've had terrible nausea since 6w1d, but I've only thrown up once. I have to say, I did feel better after I puked! I'm grateful to be able to keep my food down (and thus nutrients), but I'm not gonna lie - there are times when I wish I could just puke so that I could get some relief!
I say listen to your body and don't fight it too hard - you will still find a way to get the nutrients you need. I hope you feel better soon!

1/18/14 2:11am Abigial Morgan is here! 5lbs 14oz and 18 inches of pure cuteness!!!
I've had HORRIBLE nausea and vomiting since 6w5d. I literally carry a little trash can around the house and the few times I've left the house in the past 5ish weeks I have to carry barf bags. I never feel better after vomiting.
unfortunately Im not able to control it (this is why I carry the trash can). Even though you will not want to, try to keep something in your stomach. I also eat a lot of peppermint candy and jolly ranchers which helps.
Hope this doesn't last long!! On a positive note- morning sickness usually means healthier pregnancies!
that is interesting about the peppermint. My mom is into essential oils instead of medication and when I first felt this way about a week ago I asked if the oils might help me. Sure enough, her guide recommended peppermint or ginger oils...I smelled it and my nausea was relieved...sometimes just momentarily but then I just smelled more
Ginger hasn't helped me although I know for others it has but I'm not a ginger fan so sometimes I think it makes it worse. The mint has been the best for me. I never thought of smelling the oil though! If you find it's hard to eat try I've found that a smoothie from Jamba Juice is easy to digest and nutritious. I've lost 14 pounds from this morning sickness and have tried any and everything.
:former pg after ifer here:
I had puking for 5 months of my pregnancy with my daughter...and that was with the zofran. If you find that you tend to puke, ask the dr for some zofran. It was a god send. I could get that down after my 1st morning puke and spend the rest of the day at least not puking.
Oh, and take stool softener with the zofran...it leads to constipation!
