I just want to share some thoughts on how important it is to be careful, use your judgement and ask questions when you're looking for self improvement. This article is great.

I've mentioned it before, but my sister died in October 2009 at a selfhelp retreat led by James Ray, who was in "The Secret" and was on Oprah, etc. She and two others died in his "sweat lodge," and many others were injured. He served 18 months for three counts of negligent homicide and is being released today.

I'm not looking for sympathy, but i want to share this story to help protect other people. My sister was a strong, intelligent, motivated and independant woman; not a weak, desperate follower. What happened to her shows us that it could happen to anyone. Use your judgement and know what to look for before trusting someone!

Beans, I know you aren't looking for sympathy, but I am so sorry. Our justice system can be so frustrating at times, I certainly hope he doesn't cause any more lives to be lost.
