January 2014 Moms

Lucky me...but seriously, I shouldn't complain.

Mobile: Lucky me...but seriously, I shouldn't complain.

I had my NT scan, pap smear, urine sample and 9 vials of blood taken on Monday. Yesterday I get a call from the OB that my urine sample showed I had an infection, so I need antibiotics. Today my OB called to say my pap showed yeast, so I need to go get some Monistat.  I'm glad it's such minor stuff, but when you get an unsolicited call from the OB, it makes you nervous.

  • Ugh what a bummer!!! I get so nervous when I get a call from the OBs office...my heart always starts racing when I see the number pop up on my screen.

Hope things clear up soon for you!!

  • That is a huge bummer.  Glad baby is healthy but sorry you have infections.  Hopefully they clear up quickly.

    Yikes, that's obnoxious.

Heads up, ladies, pregnancy puts you at increased risk for yeast infections.  Do everything you can to stay dry and avoid chemicals on the vulva, and if you have to take antibiotics, just get the yeast treatment at the same time, so you have it if/when you need it.
