Detergent and Rash Help

Hi everyone,
I just started with CD yesterday on my 2 mo old. And while I am loving them, today LO is sporting a lovely red rash down his crack. I know this could be from acidic poops but it seems more than coincidental that it started right after introducing cloth.
I am using Charlie's Soap and read after the fact that some people have issues with it. Have any of you? They are brand new diapers so its not an issue of not getting them clean enough or there being ammonia or anything.
I have prefolds and a couple BGs. I prepped them all with Charlie's. I did not wash the rest of my clothes with Charlie's and see I was "supposed" to but I'm afraid to now after seeing this rash.
Any info or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If it's in a fold, I'm inclined to say that it's likely caused by trapped moisture. Try allowing him to air out or dabbing him with a dry wipe after diaper changes. If it were detergent, it would be more generalized to the entire diaper region.

THIS! We had this exact redness...just right down M's bum crack. One day of air time and patting clean, then patting with a dry cloth wipe cleared it right up!
