XP: Car Seat Recyling

I have a Chicco keyfit 30 that was in an accident. Does anyone know if it can be recycled? Should I take it to the transfer station and ask? Or just throw it in the dumpster?

    I didn't think you could trade in a car seat after it had been in an accident.

    If you toss it cut the straps! That way no one can try to use it!

    Did you claim it? Our insurance company made us turn ours in to ensure it was destroyed.

    Yes, we did claim it. The other drivers insurances were asses about replacing it, but they didn't ask for the damaged one.
