Awww, this is funny but sad. I'm glad you can see the humor in it.
When I was in fourth grade, aka old enough to know better, I put a bead in my ear "to see if it would fit." My parents had to get it removed by the doctor, and my dad was pissed. He was like, "Well, you proved that it fit. Are you happy now?"
When DD2 was little she stuck a marshmallow from the S'mores Pepperidge Farm goldfish up her nose. I figure it dissolved or whatever but everytime she sees the fish in the store she makes sure to remind me that fish don't go in your nose.
Poor little guy. I did the same thing with fish tank gravel when I was three. Apparently I got several pieces up there before it started to hurt.

That's definitely a hilarious story though not fun for him while it was happening, but I'm glad he is ok. I agree that you should make a little book out of it.
LOL yeah DD stuck a piece of her craft from daycare up her nose last year. It was what was being used as Rudolphs nose on the craft. This is what I got "Mommy I stuck rudolph's nose up my nose" Apparently she was trying to pretend it was her nose and actually put it in there, when she tried to get it out she pushed it up there farther and we wound up at the hospital getting it removed.
Re: If your kid shoves a bead up his nose...

next time, hold the open nostril shut while you blow in their mouth. The object should fly out. I just learned that.
