Bumbleride Indie

Does anyone have this stroller? We're considering getting it, and using it as our "all in one" stroller. I plan to jog in it, but nothing extreme. It would be used for around town, mall trips, etc. I don't like umbrella strollers or those bulky 'travel system' style strollers.

 What do you guys think?

Re: Bumbleride Indie

  • We have a bumbleride indie that we bought one year old from a friend. They loved it, but were pregnant with their second and wanted a double stroller.

We clearly haven't used it yet, but like messing around with it, collapses pretty easily and seems pretty user friendly.

  • I don't have it but it's the stroller that's on my registry. I did lots of Internet research then checked one out in the store and loved it. In terms of other all terrain strollers, Bob was too bulky for me and indie has better fabrics and accessories than mountainbuggy. I think there are a few people on this board that have it and love it, perhaps try doing a thread search since it was discussed previously. Good luck!

  • I have had the twin for 3 years and I absolutely love it.

  • You guys are the best. Thanks for the replies. Someone on the board from wayy back when we first found out we were expecting recommended it and I've loved it since. Ever so often I'll creep at other strollers online and second guess myself... but I really do think it's the perfect stroller for our needs.

  • We had one but ended up returning it. It was fine for walks around town but anytime I took it for a jog it would shake to a halt every time I started running (and I'm not fast). Bumbleride worked with me to try to get it fixed, sent me a new brake, but to no avail. I ended up returning it to Amazon and getting a BOB (which I LOVE for walks and jogs).

I agree the BOB is too bulky for an everyday stroller. I, too, thought we would make do with just one stroller but ended up getting a simple umbrella for around town and the BOB for walks. It works for us, even though I would have liked to take a more minimalistic approach.

  • we registered for it afyer test driving it at the store. we spend a lot of time out doors taking walks and going to the beach and I really wanted something that would be good for those activities. we dont go to the mall or places like that often so I wasnt worried about that. I also wanted a stroller with a carrycot and the indie has a nice one plus the foot muff.

by the way I got the carrycot on amazon for 100.
  • I have it and love it so much I bought the double too! It's an awesome stroller!!
