1st Birthday Location

We plan to keep our LO's first birthday party pretty small, but we live in a smallish townhouse and have large immediate families, so it won't work for us to have our first party at home.  Does anyone have any suggestions for places to have a get together for about 20 people?  All I can come up with is a restaurant or hotel. I'm sure there must be something more fun and cute!  It will be in the beginning of October in Minnesota, so outside may or may not work.  We live in a large metro area, so I'm sure there are options I'm just not thinking of!

Does your townhouse community have a rec center you can rent out?  I have friends that used a nearby one for their son's first birthday.

Also, what are the pumpkin patches like near you?  Do they have an indoor area/barn that you can use?
