Wtf fellow beachgoer?

Right now we are on vacation with dhs whole family. We've been cheesy about possibly being pregnant expecting that ill probably tell them today or tomorrow I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday. Today my three year old was playing with a random kid and mom on the beach when the mom looks at me and says "do you know if you are having a boy or a girl yet?" I was so stunned I just shook my head no and walked away. Granted I've put on about 5 lbs but at 135 I don't look 20 weeks pregnant! What the heck! I was shocked...I would have never asked anyone that out of the blue. Thank goodness dhs family were all too far away to hear her.

Weird.  My friend and I went for mani/pedis yesterday.  Her husband runs a karaoke business and we were next door to one of the bars he operates out of.  My friend asked if we could just run in and pick up some checks they owed her.  So we walked in (it was about 10:30 in the morning) and we walked over to the side where servers pick up drinks.  We got the checks and as we left this guy who was sitting there drinking eyed my belly and said "should you be in here?" I just looked at his beer and said "should you?"  Seriously.  I was only in there about five minutes and it is non smoking.  

I vote for a maternity shirt that says something like 'warning: hormones. Touch belly and ask questions at your own risk. '

I think a great answer would have been, yes, we're pretty sure it's a boy OR a girl. Not a puppy.

I probably would have glared and walked away, though. To be honest.

I do not understand people who blatantly ask a stranger if they are pg when so many people have guts that could be mistaken for pg. I would never ever ask someone if pg or pg related questions unless they told me themselves they were pg. I have a cousin-in-law that could be mistaken for 4 months pg always (skinny legs and arms with a round, not flabby, belly). It's just how her body is built. 

I just don't get it.

I got asked heaps this year when we were in vietnam when my baby was due! I was not preggo, but obviously look way bigger than them haha. Most of the girls were shocked that I wasn't. I actually found that pretty sad.
I have not have anyone comment on me now, but it is winter!
