The goal in my head is September 1st. But we have a ton of work to do in our nursery. I finished stripping off all the wallpaper and getting all the glue off the walls (finally!!). We are having a new window installed next week and then we (well, not me, DH) can work on the painting. Then having someone install the ceiling fan, getting carpet installed, and of course buying the furniture.I'm a crazy organizer so I want to have time in there organizing the clothes, diapers, books, etc. I can't wait to see what it will look like when it is an actual room!
January siggy challenge: winter weather fails

Re: When are you hoping to have your nursery done by?
I'm shooting for the end of September since I'm having a scheduled C-section on November 18th.
But I really just wanted to point out how much I love your Ryan Gosling meme
My Blog: Whispers from a Working Mom
Sometime in the beginning of September as well. It's the biggest thing (ok, really the only thing) we need to do to prepare the second time around. I'd feel more relaxed knowing it's done.

Yep, pretty much this for me too. We are moving to a new apartment in mid-August...so...that makes doing much "nesting" pretty difficult right now
I am hoping to have the room done by mid august when we go back to school. My son and baby #2 will be sharing a room so I want my son to have time getting used to the idea of his big boy bed before we introduce a new kid.
If that doesn't happen no big deal I would just rather it get done when I am not working!
I'd like to have our baby boy's room done by the end of September. We had it painted a neutral color when we bought the house and will add accent colors, crown moulding, and maybe some board and batten (if my dad will help!)
Our baby shower is August 24 so that should be plenty of time to get everything organized and ready for his arrival with some wiggle room
So thankfully my husband is a contractor and he can do a lot of the stuff on his own. However, we decided about a couple weeks or so ago that we want to tear the dry wall down in our upstairs and so currently our living quarters is not a pleasant one as we are very crammed. However, it is a very good thing that we decided to do this and start early as he came across an electrical issue that needs correcting. but then on the downside of that things are pushed back even further. I am hoping by middle of August things will be competed or at least livable in the upstairs but then again that may be wishful thinking.
How long does it take to get carpet--I have heard that sometimes carpet people have lists long so I need to figure out if I should be put on a waiting list.

Fortunately, we don't have anything to do this time around. DD2 will be sharing a room w DD1 and the big girl bed is already set up and being slept in.
