Well ladies, my parents are about to come and take us off to the airport! I'm taking my ipad and should have internet most places, so I'm hoping I can still check in and see how everyone is doing when we're back in the evening from each day's adventure. Now that the day of travel is here, I'm thinking about the places I'm traveling during the next six weeks: Germany, Austria, Thailand, and little stint to Vietnam and freaking out just a tiny bit! And something over 50 hours total of plane travel for the main trips and side trips! Thanks, anxiety disorder. I know it will all be beautiful and I can't wait. Think a good thought for me if you can spare it as there are certain parts of the trip, like the tons of mosquitoes in some parts of Thailand I'll be in, that make me a little nervous.
I will be thinking about you all and sending good thoughts for all your pregnancies. We will be in Vienna for our anniversary and I plan to go to St. Peter's to say a little prayer for myself and all of you. The "new" building of the church was built in 1701 and I can only imagine how many women have gone into that place and prayed for their little ones. I'm also making DH do the "Fraulein Maria bike tour" to visit all the Sound of Music locations, haha. 8 miles pregnant on a bike? No biggie!
So stay in good health - and sanity if you can - and I hope as we all enter the second trimester, those of us who feel like crap begin to feel better and those of us with anxiety over the well-being of our LOs begin to find increased comfort as we continue to watch, hear, and maybe feel our babies grow.
Re: About to head off to the airport!
I can't wait to meet you Neva Margaret Rebecca
Awwww have an amazing time kschref! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time and have so many stories to tell us when you get back.
Have an amazing time! (((hugs)))
I will definitely have you in my thoughts! Have a great trip! Germany is one of my favorite countries. I have yet to go to Austria or Thailand, but they are on my list.
Make sure you stay hydrated on the flight and get up to walk every hour. Those long flights are awful for dehydration and blood clots. If you don't want to use DEET for the mosquitos, I hear that lemon and lavender oils work great.
Have a fantastic time! Keep us posted.
Have an awesome time! DH, DD, and I were just in Germany and Austria this past May and had an amazing time!
Try not to stress too much over the flights! International flights are my favorite because of all the inflight entertainment they have available now and the planes are larger which helps with my claustrophobia.
Happy anniversary and safe travels! I look forward to hearing all about your trip
