Re: Bi-Weekly Wine and Cheese Party

  • Wow. My computer must have PMS or something. I can't load pictures and this post is all kinds of crazy. Sorry Embarrassed

Update on me: We sent some medical records from our potential surrogate to the fertility clinic to have the doctor clear her medically. Things are moving INSANELY slow, but they are moving, so I can't complain too much.

Non-TTCAL update: I bought a shelving unit at a garage and I'm totally going to go all Pinterest on it next week. I. CANT. WAIT.

Happy 4th of July to everyone in the US (and happy Wednesday to all our internationals!!)!!!

Hi Sammer! I'm glad things with the surrogate are moving even if it's at snail speed.

I love pinterest projects! Enjoy the shelves!

I don't really have any new updates. I passed my registry test last Monday! That's a huge relief. We're going to wait until I have a job before starting the adoption process. We want everything to be in order before getting things rolling.

I know this is the right decision because I can't wait to get a job now. I can't wait to get out of this house (we're living in the house that my great-grandparents built. We're either going to build or get a manufactured home to put out here in the boonies). I'm not even real concerned about TTC anymore. Especially since I realize that chances of conceiving naturally with stage 4 endo is less than 1%.

    Thanks for running this Sammer!

    TTC since 4/28/07
Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!

  • Thank you, Sammer, for posting this.  I'm sorry things are moving so slowly but I'm hoping for nothing but a happy outcome.

EK- Congrats on your test! That's awesome! I'm so glad you are at peace with your decision. I'm so happy for you.

Nothing to update in the world of TTCAL. Love and ((hugs)) to you all!

  • Good morning all!

Sammer - I'm so excited you have a potential surrogate! Even if things are moving slowly, I am really hoping that everything moves smoothly at the same time!

EK - Congrats and great job! I hope you find a job quickly so you can get the ball moving on adoption.

    Uneek - (((hugs)))

J&J - I had a completely normal cycle after my CP so I'm hoping the same will happen for you. Did they track you down to zero?

Update on me - still studying for the Bar. The test is now less than four weeks out and I'm looking at 10 hours a day studying. Fun! Someone described it as our first hazing in the legal profession. That works.

On the TTCAL front - We did a medicated cycle this time to make sure that I do O.  I trigger Friday morning and should O Saturday night. My RE is feeling really optimistic. I'm glad he is happy with his plan Confused.

The part I'm happy about is it ended up delaying my normal O time so we could end up doing another medicated cycle next time - without the delay, I would have been Oing right around the day of the bar. That timing would not have happened.

  • Sammer - Thanks for running the check-in! I'm sorry things are still moving, but at least it's a step in the right direction! ((hugs))

EKGibs - CONGRATS!! That is just so awesome! And I think your plan sounds great. GL with the job search! Do you know what specific type of work you'd like to do?

Uneek - Thanks for always being so supportive and generally awesome :)

J&J - I hope your cycle returns to normal. Although looking back on your chart, there are several cycles where you didn't have fertile CM until after CD12, so you still have time!

bug - Ugh, I get flashbacks to my boards studying when I read your posts, lol. Keep on pushing through, it'll be over soon and then you can relax!! I hope you O according to your RE's plan!

As for me, not much new here TTCAL-wise. Still TTA, waiting for my appointment with the new specialist on July 30, and then will be waiting for surgery. Then I'll have to wait some more after that. Frustrating.

  • Hi ladies, and thanks Sammer for hosting! I'm sorry things are moving slower than you'd like, but I'm glad they're moving. I hope things pick up momentum soon!

EK- Congrats on passing your test! And I'm happy that you're excited about the job and house hunt. I hope everything falls into place for you!

    Uneek- (((HUGS)))

J&J- ((Hugs)). My cycle after my CP last month was the most "normal" one I've had in almost 6 months. I hope it's the same for you.

Bug- You've got a lot going on lady! How's the studying going? I hope this medicated cycle puts your body back on track and you O on schedule.

Mrs. E- I hope the next few weeks before your appointment fly by and you can get in quickly for surgery. It's great that there's a plan, but sometimes that makes it even harder to have to wait until it can fall into place.

As for me, My doctor has decided to go ahead with the hysteroscopy to clip the two small adhesions on my ute, and then we'll try Clomid for a few cycles. I had a pre-op appointment on Wednesday, so I'm just waiting for the call the schedule the procedure.

I also just got some blood work back today that the doctor I work for drew, and found out I have a gluten sensitivity. Never would have guessed it since I've never had symptoms. I wrote a long post about it on the main board, so I won't repeat myself, but it's a total shock. Looks like a lifestyle change is on the horizon.
