Crazy grandmas vent

I've been really frustrated with my mom lately.. She's just been MIA the last year or two.  She's even pissed at me that I made DD's party the same weekend she's going to the beach (we are in Jersey and she goes ALLTHETIME.. She could totally skip it for one weekend, or just the one day).  So, MIL has been around a lot more than her.  I am pissed at my mom, it's really her own fault she doesn't see DD a lot, but MIL is equally annoying by trying to one-up my mom.  

For example, I posted a video on FB of DD singing a song.. My mom liked it and said "Love it!".  Two minutes later MIL liked it and posted "I know she sang it to me when I picked her up from school today!"  It's just that she posts stuff like this all the time.. "Got to babysit my granddaughter today!  What kind of grandma would I be if I didn't?" That sort of thing.  It's kinda bitchy, and it's all the time. I feel like she is totally rubbing it in my mom's face that she's around more.  Yes, I am angry with my mom that she doesn't make an effort, and she knows how i feel, but I don't go out of my way to make her jealous of MIL.  I feel like it's pushing her further away.  What is with these crazy grandmas?? 

ETA:  Aaaand, cue the angry email from Mom, complaining she doesn't get asked to babysit.  gee I wonder what sparked that??

Dang, I'm glad my MIL is computer illiterate! Then I only have to deal with my Mom! Who is FB illiterate enough to sometimes be embarrassing..lol Love them both though and wouldn't want one putting down the other!

DD decided to call my parents almost the exact same name that my nieces and nephew call my IL's. DD has never heard the names before so she came up with them all on her own. The first time MIL saw a YouTube video of DD calling my dad Pop Pop she called up DH bitching him out that my parents are pushing his out of DD's life. These are the same people who wrote out cards to AuDrey [DD's name is AuBrey] and flat out ignored her for months and months. Uh, YOU are the ones removing yourselves from we life. Try are so removed she doesn't even know who they are. So I feel ya.

more venting... Up until this past Sept, we lived in the same apartment complex as my mom.  It was a 2 minute WALK to our place.  We would stop by her place, but I could count on ONE HAND the amount of times she would come over to see us, in the THREE YEARS since DD was born.  Then when we moved (a 25 minute drive away) she gave us the BIGGEST guilt trip "I'm never going to see you guys again!!"  Um, we never see you when you're a stone's throw away, what's the difference?? So, whenever it comes up, it's our fault she doesn't see DD bc we moved (bought a house).  She travels about 2 hours away every weekend with her friends but gives me crap about coming over to babysit once in a blue moon... Complains the whole time she's here.. It's ridiculous.
