Very very low beta but bfp??

I've been getting bfp's on FRER since Sunday morning (13 dpo) but they have been faint. I went in for a beta yesterday morning and waited for the results. I even poas last night before bed and got another bfp. Got one again this morning but very faint. Since they weren't getting darker I kinda knew it wasn't good, but when I heard my beta this afternoom I was in shock. My beta was 2. How is that possible? And be getting bfps? Anyone else have nonexistent betas but still saw a line? 

My Dr told me to try another brand of hpt and see what I get. If positive I have to go to a different lab for bloodwork. This was my 1st ever bfp in 5 years so to say this sucks is an under statement.

Wow, that is unusual. I'll be hoping and praying that it is a lab error. Maybe try a digital HPT? Good Luck to you!

Hi, I was in the same boat as you and it did not end well. On 6/27 my first beta was 3.7. Then, 48 hours later it was 9.8. 48 hours after that on Monday it went down to 5 something my doctor tells me it is a chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage will be coming soon. I am so devastated.  My doctor and I are concerned though because I have not started bleeding yet...just want this to be over and move on.

On a positive note for you when I was going through this beta hell, I read about a lot of women who started out with low betas and ended up having healthy babies. I hope that is the case for you! I think some embryos are late to implant. Good luck!
