Has anyone read "The happiest baby on the block"? I was thinking of getting the DVD to watch with DH wondering if the book is the same or has that much more info that I should do that instead?
I checked out both from the local library during my last pregnancy after a portion of the DVD was played during our childbirth class. I watched the DVD first so by the time I read the book, I didn't get as much out of it because I had learned most of it from the DVD. It was really helpful, and we used a lot of the techniques with DD who was often a very fussy baby.
I actually think the DVD is better than the book - you can actually SEE what they're talking about rather than just reading and trying to envision it. Granted - it looks like it was made in the 70s and stylistically is a little funny...but it was really helpful for both DH and I to see the techniques.

Agree completely. I read and watched and think the DVD is better for the techniques, though the book gives you more of the why behind it

My birth center offers a two hour class for $12 and they give you the dvd
I am taking the class in September.
