Please tell me my oily, greasy, acne prone, sensitive skin will go back to normal after birth?? Im 38 weeks and Ive struggled with bad skin through out this whole pregnancy. It has gotten more oily towards the end and esp in this summer heat. UGH
I had really bad breakouts with DS and then perfect skin with DD. I am back to the bad breakouts again, which is one of the things that makes me think we are having another boy. Don't worry it usually goes away!
Your skin is going to change/freak out post partum as well since your hormones fluctuate and your body is returning to normal. I would say it varies from person to person but mine wasn't completely normal until about 6 months after birth.

I'm with you, I'm so looking forward to things balancing back out. I've read online a few places that Milk of Magnesia actually helps balance the oil/acne and keeps the red spots at bay. I haven't tried yet but I'm totally tempted to!
ETA: It's supposed to be put directly on your face, lots use it under make up and some do a once a week 15 minute mask with it.
I'm 6 month pp and my skin's still a mess. I'm sure it'll get back to normal soon but those hormones are no joke, they do a number on you and stick around for quite a while.

Chances are it will go back to normal after the birth. So many crazy hormones involved in pregnancy. Hang in there.
