This is my second pregnancy so I'm not talking about the whole "I don't feel pregnant" issue. I definitely feel pregnant and have all of the wonderful symptoms. My problem is that when I am able to get a prenatal down it generally comes back up within 15 minutes. I have tried several different ones and tried taking a Zofran about 30 minutes before taking the vitamin. Problem number 2: I am dehydrated again. I did great water wise for about a week. I thought I had made it past the hard times. But about 4 days ago it came back. I sip constantly but it isn't doing enough. My mouth tastes like I have been eating straight salt all of the time. It is awful. Everything I eat tastes like it has salt poured on it. I just do not see how this poor little baby can survive this! I am able to eat more but can't keep fluids in. I guess I need to head back to the store and try to find something I can keep down. Any suggestions? Gatorade tastes too sugary right now.
BTW I made an OB NP apt for tomorrow at 9am. I am hoping to schedule a nurse to come to the house to give iv fluids.
Re: Feel Like Somethings Wrong
I was not able to keep liquids, food, or prenatals down for a quite a while either. Lost about 10 pounds pretty quickly. I've found that I can drink mineral water, so I've recently become a huge Perrier fan, and La Croix pom-raspberry. I went through about 4 different prenatals and I can keep the gummy ones down if I chew them up really well first. I take a separate folic acid and iron supplement. I have to take the iron at a completely different time from everything else because I'm still struggling to keep that one down.
Just being able to keep water down now (even if it is "sparkling") has made a big difference in how I feel and what else I'm able to tolerate. I hope you find a "magic combination" for yourself soon!
As for prenatals, i still havent been able to restart mine due to nausea and vomiting. Just do what you can.

I can't drink plain water most days, because it will just come back up.
Have you tried lemonade spritzers? I buy sparkling lemon water and simply lemonade from the store, and they have been my saving grace. I add a bunch of ice cubes, pour in 2/3 sparkling water and 1/3 lemonade and it is delicious and is watery enough that it isn't too sugary or sweet.
The other thing I have found is that I can only drink if it is very very cold - sometimes I'll stick a drink in the freezer for 5 minutes before I drink it, and it is amazing. That plus popsicles and peppermints have helped me so far!
