Whooping cough

Was at midwife today and she told me about the whooping cough immunisation they recommend at 28weeks onwards. Do you all get this? As I'm in Scotland.

    Yes my aunt and uncle contracted it when my son was 3 months old. We had a scary couple of months hoping he didn't get it from them.

    Yes, we have the recommendation to receive this vaccine prior to birth. I got mine last year for school, so I'm cleared.

    Yes, it is the new recommendation from the CDC that all pregnant women get it between I thnk 27 and 36 weeks. I did a lot of research because my last one was only 2 years ago, but I have decided to get it. Whooping cough is very serious in newborns and getting the shot can pass some immunity to the baby.
