Disappearing OPs

Anyone else notice that some threads that have many responses seem to be missing the original post.  For example Why, why, why!  It starts with an RE: to the original post.  I have noticed this lately...wasn't sure if people were deleting their posts or if it has something to do with the recent change to the community.  Just wondering...

Sometimes I have to click on a bar that says see previous posts.
