Anyone else have hesdsches in the first trimester? I feel like a switch flipped and I have gone from all day on and off nausea to all day headaches- some of them I think are migraines- nauseous and just want to curl up in the dark. Any recs on managing them? I am really trying not to take Tylenol as much as possible but daily headaches are starting to take their toll! TIA!
I had some pretty intense migraines all through my first and second tri. The best thing I did (and was encouraged by my OB) was to take tylenol and drink it with a soda. Caffeine always helps my headaches and migraines. If they get so bad that you're having them daily tell your OB, there is a migraine medication that is safe to take during pregnancy (I forget the name). And absolutely stay hydrated. I noticed if I drank a lot of water they werent as severe or frequent.
And don't worry, studies show you can drink a soda a day and baby will be totally fine. I don't recommend it since it's just not healthy in general haha but you wont harm baby with the occasional Coke product.

i've been getting slight headaches the past 2 days but not sure if they are pg related. i find that having some protein helps me and making sure i am not getting up too fast (the dizziness seems to set them off). feel better soon!

I did have pretty severe headaches towards the end of the 1st trimester. Believe it or not, my OB actually suggested caffeine. She said I should have a home brewed coffee (full caffeine) or a half-caf from Starbucks, etc. For women w/ bad headaches / migraines, she suggests this plus a Tylenol.

I had terrible 3 day long migraines that would move around my head. Sleep did not help. I would take a couple of Tylenol and have a Diet Coke. I felt guilty about the Diet Coke but I figured me having such terrible migraines was worse for the baby and me than the caffeine would be.

I'm getting terrible headaches daily through first tri which I never get. It's almost daily and so miserable, usually in the evenings. I've had to take 3 Tylenol. 2 don't seem to phase it. Next time I'll try a little caffeine.
