Fourth of July plans?

Me and my family are going up to the cottage for the fourth, I plan to just kick back most of the time, it so relaxing up there. I would usually ride the jet ski but I am not sure how safe that it to do while pregnant, so I will just stick to boat rides. What are you ladies planning to do?

We are going on a road trip on Wednesday to visit my family (last time before LO arrives!). My 4th wedding anny is on July 4th (easy to remember ) so DH and I will be celebrating with dinner that night!

We have a group of friends coming over to swim and BBQ , it has been a tradition for years, and then we are watching the Disney Fireworks together (you can see them from our backyard)

Bret Michaels is playing an outdoor concert about 20 min. from my house on Sunday....totally planning on going to that!    I'm glad it's outside, I don't know if I would go otherwise - I'll be glad to keep away from the smoke, outrageously loud music and drunk people.

For the first time in SEVERAL years, the drought here in Texas has eased enough to allow fireworks so hubby and I will be enjoying our town's display at the fairgrounds.

No plans for the fourth as I only get that day off then it's back to work on Friday. I am going on a cruise to the Bahamas for a week the week after the fourth.

A boat ride sounds awesome. I wish that were an option for me! I will probably just watch the fireworks.

My original plans to have a relaxing day off with DH (who has been out of the country since 23 June and will be getting in at about 0600 on the 4th) have been hijacked by the fact that the university I teach at is closed, including all dining facilities. 

My plans now include taking about 40 international students out to brunch and then planning and throwing a BBQ for them later that evening.  I'll most likely be doing it myself, and I'm pretty annoyed by this.  I've also never grilled on a charcoal grill before, have never cooked hamburgers before, and as someone who has been a vegetarian for more than half my life, I don't really even handle meat.  /rant.

Needless to say, I'm jealous of everyone who will be out having fun or at home relaxing!

We are going to have my parents over for lunch and then we have to go to h's parent's annual party. He loves going. I am over the drama with his mom so I don't want to go, but it's a big deal to H so I am being a good wife.

DH is working and I'm on sbr. So, I'll be home trying to con someone into bringing me a plate from their cookout, haha! Oh, and trying to keep my doxies calm during illegal neighborhood fireworks. sigh...

We leave for our beach house tomorrow and we'll be gone for 2 and a half weeks. We go every year at this time and we normally stay for 3 weeks but I'm having OB appts every 2 weeks now so I'll have to get back in time for my next one. Plus I'm uneasy about being gone so long and 4 hours away from home at 31+ weeks.

We are having a cookout and probably driving around looking for fireworks. I'm really looking forward to the family time and really looking forward to my dr.'s appointment the next day!

We're watching the parade then spending the day at the pool! Hopefully we'll do a BBQ for dinner and watch the fireworks if its not stormy.

We might take SD to the reservoir drinking the day and then are going to our local park in the evening for activities and fireworks.

4th of July is HUGE in our town and we plan a packed day every year. We start tomorrow night by staking out a place on the parade route, which is just a short walk from our home. Then we usually ride bikes along the beach path to get to my parents party, but will be driving this year, even though it is only a 5 minute drive. We will party it up at my parents, who have a huge get together every year and may walk to the beach, although it gets packed. I can't wait! It is my absolute favorite holiday!!
