Opinons please. Everynight from 7:30-8:15 or 8:30 DD watches cartoon and then we brush her teeth, read a book, say a prayer and she goes to bed. Anyway while she watches her cartoons I usually sit on the couch next to her and play on my laptop. Is it selfish to use this 45 minutes- 1 hour to myself? If she wanted to stop and play I would, she just likes her cartoons before bed. Should I stop doing this?
Take the time. During the school year, DD and I do the same thing when we get home. She watches a show, I either get dinner started, or if I have time, I sit down and relax for awhile before starting dinner. She enjoys that wind down time, and I do, too. You're not hurting her.
Re: Is it wrong?
Take the time.
(posted too soon)
take the time to do something you enjoy.
Seriously
I used to have questions about things of this nature as well.
Remember the saying "When Mom's happy - everyone's happy"?
If she's asking for attention and you're ignoring her, that's another thing. If she's chilling with her 'toons, let it go mama.
Enjoy!
