Wanted opinions on which order our potential DS's name should go:
Andrew Curtis
Curtis Andrew
He'll go by Curtis regardless. I think Andrew Curtis flows better, but DH doesn't hear a difference really. And no, going by Andrew isn't an option for a number of reasons: I don't like how popular just Andrew is, I don't like the nn Drew at all, and while I love the nn Andy, it rhymes with my name and I just find that...yuck. I'm just trying to envision the classic graduation scenario down the road, and can't decide which order sounds better. Oh, and nothing goes well with our last name, so we gave that bit up a long time ago. Opinions?

If you're going to call him Curtis, name him Curtis Andrew. Avoid him havInge to constantly correct teachers that he goes by Curtis but Andrew is on the roll. Just a pet peeve of mine. Name your kid what you plan on calling him.
I preferred Curtis Andrew before I even read your whole post, so that's my vote. If you do Andrew Curtis you run the risk of him deciding to go by Andrew later, or his friends calling him Andy. If you definitely don't want that, don't put Andrew first.
And I say this as someone who doesn't mind going by your middle name. My DH goes by his middle, always has since his first name is the same as his dad. BUT he gets called by his first name at doctor's, sometimes work stuff, and some people call him by a nn of his first name even though he doesn't use it. He doesn't care, but if it would bother you I wouldn't risk it!
Amen!
Agree completely. I think Curtis Andrew sounds better anyway.
