First off, apologies if this is a topic already in discussion. I tried searching for previous posts but it gave me an error.
Louis is 6w4d, and the only way I've been able to get him to BF is with the assistance of a nipple shield (they gave me a nipple shield day 1 at the hospital). I've tried for the last couple weeks to wean him off the shield, but he would get so frustrated and upset I would give up pretty quickly. Today was the first time he fed on one side without the shield! I was so excited I wanted to call someone and share (insert awkward conversation). Anyone else having success/frustration with weaning from the shield?
