Spelling variantions: Seamore/Seamor/Seamour/Seymore/Seymour
From Behind the Name:
GENDER: Masculine
PRONOUNCED: SEE-mawr [key]
Meaning & History
From a Norman surname which originally belonged to a person coming from the French town of
Saint Maur (which means "Saint
MAURUS").
DH is pushing strongly for this to be a contender. Presently, we love Gabriel, and Lucas. (Murry is on our list, but DH is having second thoughts). Seymour is another family name that I don't mind but I'm just not sure about. Our girl names are Margaret, Samantha, and Ramona to give you an idea of our preferences.
Stereotype/thoughts/opinions/other suggestions are more than welcome! Would you go with Seymour or another variation of the spelling?
Re: Seymour
I love Gabriel. And I like Lucius.
I like Lucas and Gabriel. I do not like Murry as a first name.
Growing up with a name that was easily made fun of, I am very careful with names. This one would be a NO in my book.
first thing I thought of too, and I feel the same about your other choices.
