NT scan was a bust

I have an uncooperative little bugger :mobile smiley:
Baby wouldn't turn around or get in an appropriate position for the measurements. But on the bright side, great heartbeat and super wiggly little thing! We got to see baby 'eating' or at least making biting movements with its mouth. And arms and hands were flailing all over the place. And my uterus is still sitting so far back that it was hard to get a good look. Which the Dr assured me is fine for baby, just not so good for the ultrasound.
They can't fit me in for another scan before it's too late, so the doctor offered the Materni21 test. She said my insurance will cover it if they code it appropriately, which they will since they had to reschedule my appointment originally leaving me with no wiggle room.
So I'm going in for bloodwork Monday morning and I'm a little nervous. It wasn't my original plan but at least I'll know with 99 certainty vs a probability chance, and I should know the sex by 15w. I guess I should just get used to not being in control of things any more! Ha.
ETA: and I've only gained 2lbs so far! I feel like I've gained at least 5, and think I look like I've gained 10, so this was a pleasant surprise.
