Hi I'm new to The Bump but had a question and was wondering if anyone had experience with this. We've been TTC since Nov 2012 and have begun some testing but my gyn has had me start Metformin for PCOS in the mean time since I have very irregular cycles 4060 days and ultrasound revealed I have cystic overies.
Since I started the Metformin a couple weeks ago I had an almost immediate BBT rise and I was wondering if anyone had ever had a similar experience or if this might just be a side effect of the medication. I've never seen a natural BBT since since I've been temping normally my BBT is around 97.597.8 and it has been consistently 98.298.6 for the past 2 weeks. Did any of you who use Metformin experience a BBT rise as a side effect? Alternately, did it help you to ovulate quickly? I appreciate any input I searched for similar posts and didn't see any so I apologize if this question has been previously asked. Also I would link my chart but I can only post via mobile!

Re: New/Metformin question
I can't comment on the temp difference on and off metformin because I've only tempted while on it. But metformin has immensely helped regulate my cycles. I hardly ever had periods before I started taking it last October. Now I tend to have cycles every 30 to 35 days. I hope it yields the same response in you because I know how frustrating long or irregular cycles can be.
Good luck!
