Bold Stranger

I got my first "When are you due?" today. I told her late Dec [b/c of my induction] and she said "Oh wow, I thought you were going to say Sept!" I am having a little bit of a bloated day, but I didn't think I looked that big. Mobile users: I'll be 13 wks tomorrow. I know you show earlier with subsequent pregnencies, but damn! I think I'm still in the "is she pregnant or fat" phase. Maybe not anymore. Ha! I'm excited to have an obvious belly, but me thinks I'll end up ginormous again.

Re: Bold Stranger

  • People have no idea what they are saying sometimes. When I was pregnant with DD, I would have one person tell me I looked small and one say I was ready to pop in the same day.

This is my second pregnancy and on my bloated days, I look like I did when I was 20 weeks with DD. I've read you show early after your first pregnancy but it slows down eventually. I am holding on to this hope.

  • I wish people would think more about what they say. How rude!

This happened to me too.  It also happens once you have the baby. People will ask how old he is and then either say "wow he's so tiny!" Or "wow he's a big guy!"

For the most part people just need to say something, and they let whatever comes to mind first just coming spilling out of their mouths. I'm sure you look great!
