Want to help me redesign my kitchen? (not pr, obviously)

So we just got a granite countertop installed... We're now trying to choose a backsplash.  These are the two we've narrowed it down to.  I'm really torn because they're so different.

Close up:
I really like the white because I feel like it ties in so well with the floor.  Plus, I know it will make the kitchen look brighter.  But I really just like the way the dark looks.  We are most concerned with resale (we'll probably only be here for another ~5 years.
So WWYD?

The white goes very well with the floor tile and I think it would make the kitchen look a bit bigger since its brighter.

I like the darker color better, because it's more of a contrast with the cabinets and countertop. Does it have blue in it, or is that just my monitor? I think it seems neutral enough not to turn off a future buyer.

It's a pretty true charcoal gray/black.

The darker option hands down. I think it really looks nice against your cabinet color and as others have noted, it looks more high end than the light option. I think it ties in with the pulls on the cabinets also.

To me, the white ones look like they belong in a bathroom. And for some reason, they don't quite jive with the countertop.
