Insurance question

Hello! Does anyone have a UPMC Health Plan (PPO plan)? My work is switching to it as of July 1st (from Highmark), and I am in the middle of injection treatments. If anyone out there does have this kind of insurance, is ANYTHING covered at all? I'm trying to get ahold of someone that works at UPMC to ask but I'm not having much luck.

Thanks :)

Re: Insurance question

  • I would reach out to someone in your HR/benefits department. I think they would know a lot more about what's covered under the company plan than the insurance company would.

  • Unless you live in a mandated state (and even then there are loopholes) coverage will depend on what your employer has elected cover in the policy.  Your best bet is to contact your HR/benefits coordinator.
